Las Vegas – Ballys – Paris Las Vegas

More images from our first night in Vegas.
(Bally’s centered and Paris Las Vegas on the Right.)

There’s always traffic on the strip with taxis going every which way. Make sure to watch where you’re going since there are so many distractions and distracted drivers. Almost too many pretty lights!

Another walkway over the road.

The Ballys sign advertising the “Jubilee!” show which according to the website features a lot of classic vegas style showgirls and is topless on specific days of the week and not-topless on other days. Sadly we didn’t see any showgirls with big feather hats on our trip ;(

This is…a…mall. No idea which one…we walked through many.

The Bellagio. Every hour there’s a water show here with music.

You can watch it from the sidewalk all along the water’s edge. Another good place to see it from is the Eiffel Tower, but you have to pay to go up there and time it right.

The Eiffel Tower replica is incredible. In Vegas you can see the world in one day :>

Fancy stores and the Aria Hotel.

The New York New York hotel and Casino looks just like the New York skyline and the sidewalk is themed to look like the Brooklyn Bridge. They also have a roller coaster.

New York New York…

The Excalibur on the left and the Statue of Liberty. More pedestrian bridges there.

We attempted to take the free shuttle to “the Rio” to see the “Show in the Sky” but missed the last shuttle this day :(
We did tape the show in the sky in its entirety though on the following day. It’ll be on our Youtube as soon as we get to editing the footage. To get to the shuttle to the Rio you go through the hotel to the registration desks and it’s right there. Ask where the shuttle to the rio is since things can change. People are very accustomed to tourists asking them where to go.

The Eiffel Tower.
We have footage of a lot of the interiors which should appear on our youtube. Don’t worry we didn’t only take pictures of the outsides~ it’s all coming soon.

The Bally’s sign and more walkways. You will walk miles here since you walk in and out of hotels which is a lot of walking and also walk plenty in the hotels and malls.

Bally’s is known for its neon entrance with people mover.

Getting a ticket for the monorail is helpful but the monorail doesn’t really go to every hotel. That is, not all the stops are right at the door. Some of the stops, while on the same block as the hotels, are on the far end of the block which can be hundreds of yards from the hotel itself.

The Venetian is currently home to the Blue Man Group and has a gift shop that sells drum sticks and blue man paraphernalia. There are canals on the outside and in the Venetian mall inside.

David Spade banner.

The Fashion Show mall hosts runway shows every hour on some days. The jumbotrons out front show ads.

A look at the waterfall at the Wynn entrance. Too bad it’s not a pool ;D

Walking back to the Riviera.
The streets are very well illuminated on the strip. It feels safe there since there are so many hotels and casinos that are open all night.

These billboard trucks go up and down the street constantly. If you look at this street via google maps streetview you’ll see the truck pictured as well.

The Wynn and a “Las Vegas Blvd” street sign.

The walk from hotel to hotel is quite large at times as you get to the far ends of ‘the strip’. There’s more space between hotels.

All of the newspaper ‘vending machines’ on the strip don’t actually hold newspapers but free ‘catalogs’ for different…um..adult businesses.

There are plenty of interesting businesses everywhere. You can also find stores like “Ross” along the strip too.

More free ‘newspaper’ vending machines.
